Bagels & Books

At our meeting this past Sunday, it was decided to read, James," by Percival Everett.  This best seller is about the slave, Jim, who learns that he's about to be sold to someone else in New Orleans and thus separated from his family. He runs away to figure out a new plan, meets up  with Huck Finn, and they travel together for parts unknown. Told through the eyes of Jim, the book recounts their many adventures, as well as offers an inside look at the world of slavery.  I have two extra copies of the book, if anyone would like it. Happy Reading!! Kind regards, Suzanne Higgins <suzanne.l.higgins@gmail.com >
