Epiphany Service Project - "Home Coming" Care packages
Last year, we collected various items of clothing and toiletries for patients at Hunterdon Medical Center. They have once again reached out to our church for help with children and adults. We are pairing this project with a second group that John Andrews brought to the vestry’s attention, called, “Meet Her at the Gate.” This group provides assistance to recently released female inmates from the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinton. More details about this project can be found on our website and there are sign-up papers in the Narthex to help coordinate the donations
Here's the quick list of what donations we will be seeking:
-
Pediatric needs for 15 parcels: sweatshirts, size small, medium, large; children’s toothbrushes, toothpaste, ready to eat soup, body wash, shampoo, hats, gloves/mittens, socks.
-
HMC adult needs for 15 parcels: sweatshirts, men’s size Medium, Large, XLarge; toothpaste, ready to eat soup, body wash, shampoo, hats, gloves, socks, deodorant

Auction 2026 - February 15 Planning Meeting
Our Annual Service Auction contributes significantly to CHS's operating budget. In 2025, we raised over $30,000, exceeding the $20,000 goal. It’s time to start planning for the 2026 event. The team will meet on Sunday, February 15, between the services, at about 9 am, for a pre-planning meeting. This first meeting will allow us to pick a date and theme, and set our next meeting date. From there, we will form committees for hospitality, soliciting donations, and more. If you aren’t sure if this is for you or you have questions, come to the meeting to find out. Feel free to email Sally Bird at sallybird@comcast.net or Eva Lesniak at eva@churchholyspirit.net with any questions.

Mark your calendars!
Beginning after Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026 these opportunities will be available:
Episcopal FAQs - Sundays after the 10:00 service or Tuesday Zoom at 6 pm
Episcopal FAQs will be a book-based discussion about frequently asked questions in the Episcopal tradition, a course for all people in the parish who would like to discuss the Episcopal Church’s polity, theological grounding, history, and position in the world today. We will meet twice a week. There are two options for participating: in person on Sunday after the 10 am service, OR on Tuesday evening via Zoom at 6 pm. You do not need to read the book, but it would be helpful because we will use it as a starting point for each conversation. The book is Walk in Love by Scott Gunn and Melody Wilson Shobe. Watch for more information.
Lectio Divina Practice - Thursdays at 10:30 am
If you are looking for a new spiritual practice to adopt in Lent - join Mother Kim in the Burton Chapel - (and live streamed on FB) on Thursdays at 10:30 am in a guided Lectio Divina Reflection on the Gospel reading for the coming Sunday. Lectio Divina is a prayer practice which uses scripture as the starting point for reading, reflecting, praying and contemplating God’s word in our own lives. No previous experience required, bring a journal and writing utensil or other writing device for this 30-minute opportunity to pray.
Wednesdays in Lent:
Ecumenical Soup and Scripture –Wednesdays in Lent, at 6:30 pm, starting Feb. 25th. Join other area churches for a soup supper followed by a discussion.
