Recognizing Graduates

If there is any member of your household, family, or the larger community who you would like to celebrate in the “Class of 2026,” we would love to remember and celebrate their accomplishments. Whether graduation means passing the bar or managing to climb the monkey bars, the Church of the Holy Spirit will include you in a special blessing during worship on Sunday June 28, 2026. If you would like to celebrate someone you love (even if they are not a member of this congregation) with a card and blessing from the congregation simply email to Mother Kim at motherkimchs@gmail.com and in the message include the Graduate’s name, mailing address, where they are graduating from, and any other information that you’d care to share. e.g.- Jane Doe, 123 Main St, St Swithens, NJ 12345, Rutgers University, BS Biology- this is my niece, John Smith.

Parish-Wide Read

The Parish-Wide Read was announced on Sunday, May 10, 2026, in Mother Kim’s Sermon. Everyone in the congregation is invited to read the book “Church Tomorrow?” by The Rev. Stephanie Spellers between now and Labor Day. 40 copies of the book have been ordered at a considerable discount from the cover price. Our cost per book is $16.25. If you would like to borrow a book and return it when you are done, please email Mother Kim to arrange a lender copy. There is also an electronic version available in e-reader formats. We hope to hear about an audiobook in the near future. Take your time to over the summer, and join one of the small groups in the Fall. So we can discuss and process all that we learn about the perspective and discernment regarding the future of the church, in response to the “Nones, Dones, and Spiritual but Not Religious,” among generations born after 1975.

Congregational Prayer Project

We will be writing the prayers of the people for the Church of the Holy Spirit as a collaborative for the second half of the Season of Pentecost. In line with the liturgy's rubrics (guidelines) in the Book of Common Prayer, we can use the prewritten Prayers of the People, invite individuals in the community to write petitions (such as the Daughters of the King), or write our own. The understanding is that the prayers of the people reflect the congregation's needs and concerns. Between May 31 and June 28, we will gather input from any and all members of our worshipping community and use this information to create prayers unique to this congregation at this time.

Our Service Auction will be on October 3!

Make a Prayer Request

The link below sends an email to a group of people who are committed to prayer and will add your request to their prayers. The prayer list is open to all. It is a public list accessible to all members of the prayer team. All requests for prayer are welcome. If you or someone you love is a member of the congregation of the Church of the Holy Spirit and is in need of pastoral care - a hospital visit, communion, or some other spiritual need, please be sure to contact the clergy to arrange for this care.  The Rev. Kim Reinholz, our rector, can be reached directly via phone or text at 908-437-8209. She is on the prayer team, but please arrange visits directly rather than via this email.

Make a prayer request to the Prayer Chain by emailing: prayerrequests@churchholyspirit.net
