Our Mission: To become like Christ as we serve others, proclaim God’s love, and grow in the Spirit.

Worship with us in person or online

The 13th Sunday after Pentecost

September 7, 2025

Sunday worship services are at 8:00 am and 10:00 am

Preacher and Celebrant: the Rev. Tim Mulder

The Welcome Back Breakfast on September 14th will also be a Welcome to Mother Kimberly Reinholz, our new Rector. Come introduce yourself (wear your name tag!) to her and enjoy a delicious meal. Breakfast will be pot-luck style; bring your favorite breakfast/brunch dish to share (and if you forget to bring something, come anyway!).

Name Tags – Wear your name tag. It will be easier for Mother Kim to know you by name. We are preparing to order name tags. If you do not have a name tag, please let the office know via email so we are sure to spell your name correctly. Admin@churchholyspirit.org

Choir News

The handbell choir and regular choir will resume rehearsals in September. We're always looking for new members - especially basses and tenors!

The bell choir rehearses the first Thursday evening and third Sunday afternoon of the month (first rehearsal September 4). The regular choir rehearses before and after the 10:00 Sunday service as well as the second Thursday evening of the month (first rehearsal September 11). Each group provides a special musical offering during the 10:00 service approximately once a month. See Alexei or Trish for more information!

Bagels & Books

The current book is " James," by Percival Everett.   I have two extra copies of the book, if anyone would like it. Happy Reading!! Kind regards, Suzanne Higgins <suzanne.l.higgins@gmail.com >

Children's Formation

Children's Ministry gatherings begin Sunday September 14 at 10am. We will meet the first three Sundays of each month through Pentecost. Our focus is always on becoming like Christ as we serve others, proclaim God's love, and grow in the spirit. This year we will be welcoming our new rector and new families, reaching out to those in need, and serving within our community. Our team of adult volunteers is ready to joyfully serve and learn with you!

Greeters Needed

Greeters for Sunday mornings are needed. Meet and greet folks coming to worship with us, or those who are coming for the first time.  Distribute bulletins, help with Offertory, bring gifts of bread and wine to altar, help at communion.  You’re here to worship so no extra time is needed to serve in this ministry. See any member of vestry.

In Our Community

Food Pantry!

Food Pantry – Help load our Red Wagon! Open Cupboard is experiencing shortages due to higher demand. All donations, from one can of soup to a bag full of staple items including paper products, baby care products, toiletries, are urgently needed. ShopRite gift cards can provide the perishable items (dairy, produce, meat) and those donations can be via the Red Wagon or online.
