Desserts? Thanks so much... To all the Freshmen and Sophomore parents who responded so generously and quickly to our request for desserts for our MADD workers! We had a wonderful assortment and more than enough!

So...our Junior and Senior Parents do NOT need to send in desserts for this week's Fish Fry dinner. We have a delicious supply of desserts ready to go. So you're "off the hook" this time.
Thank you for your most generous response!!
The CRS Rice Bowl During Lent. Each Lent, Catholic families across the country unite to put their faith into action through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. Through Catholic Relief Service's Rice Bowl project, families learn about how our brothers and sisters across the globe overcome the hardships of hunger and malnutrition, and how, through our Lenten giving, we have the power to make the world a better place for all. Grab a "rice bowl" container from your local parish, or use a bowl or jar at home to collect alms throughout Lent. Turn your rice bowl in when your parish is ready to collect, or donate directly to CRS through their website. For more information, ask about CRS Rice Bowl at your local parish, or visit www.crsricebowl.org. Thank you for helping us to make the world a better place!
Starry, Starry Knight Virtual Auction Item Donations Needed. This year's Starry, Starry Knight Auction will be a virtual event. All bids will take place online through our QTEGO site. Bidding begins on Saturday, March 27, at 9 a.m. and ends Sunday, April 11, at 6 p.m. Click the button below to register to be a bidder. There is no fee at all for bidding on auction items....only if you are the item's highest bidder and then purchase the item! If you or your business would like to sponsor or donate an item, we would love to hear from you! Please share the registration link (below) with family and/or friends, even those outside of our area. All are invited!

Please consider donating merchandise to this year's auction. Donated items are due by March 12. The auction is our most important fundraiser that needs the support of ALL of our parents. Thank you so much for helping us to make this year's auction great!
Placement Test for Current 8th Graders, March 30 at 8 a.m. Do you know any parents of current 8th graders who may be interested in CHS? We have another Placement Test on Tuesday, March 30 from 8-11 a.m. Please spread the word to any friends or family members with current 8th graders.

Important Policies and Protocols

Policy Regarding Zoom and On Campus Student Absences
On Campus students must attend classes in person at school or they will be counted as absent whether they participate via Zoom or not. Only the following students may participate in their classes through Zoom:

  • eLearners
  • Students who are ill or quarantining due to COVID-19
  • Students who are on an extended absence due to a serious illness and whose parents have informed the school administration in advance.

Students who are designated as on campus students may not decide to remain at home and participate through Zoom at will. On Campus students will be expected to be present at the school.
CHS Visitor Protocol
To minimize risk to the health of all, the Diocesan Policy for Visitor Protocol limits all visitors to all of our Diocesan Catholic schools during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Only visitors who have scheduled an appointment in advance through the Front Office (850-436-6400) will be admitted into the building, until further notice. Visitors who have not scheduled an appointment in advance are required to do so before they can be given admission to our campus. No food items of any type may be dropped off by a visitor. Masks must be worn at all times on the CHS campus.

Lunch Protocol
Lunch may not be dropped off for students. Students have the option to bring their lunch from home or purchase it in our new Student Life Center. This policy continues this year and has been especially reinforced due to the implemented COVID-19 safety protocols. No food or beverage items may be brought into the school for any reason. Thank you for helping us to maintain these important protocols.

Reporting Student Absences
All students, both eLearners and on-campus students, must adhere to the following:

  • If your child is going to be absent for a short period of time (1-3 days), please call the front office by 8 a.m. and leave a message on the attendance mailbox (#2 on our phone system menu), letting us know your child will be out that day. You must also send an absence excuse note in with your child when they next return to school. If your child is an eLearner or participating from home due to extended illness, please fax or email the excuse note to mlipscomb@pensacolachs.org or 850-436-6405.

  • If your child is going to be absent for a prolonged period of time (more than 3 days) for whatever reason (death in the family requiring travel, a family trip, a serious illness or injury, surgery, etc.), please call Mrs. Pam Acromite (850-380-5889) and report the full details regarding your child's absence (expected length of time, nature of the absence, etc.). You must also send an absence excuse note in with your child when they next return to school. If your child is an eLearner or participating from home due to extended illness, please fax or email the excuse note to mlipscomb@pensacolachs.org or 850-436-6405.
