Thursday after Ash Wednesday

Founded upon the Four Pillars of the Ordinariate Patrimony, Cathedral High School does what all the best Catholic education initiatives seek to accomplish: assist parents in the spiritual, human, and academic formation of their children, while equipping her students for that very task to which each one alone has been called to by God. That is, Cathedral seeks to form and educate young people in the pursuit of holiness and wisdom.

A message from Dr. Kutarna:

Dear Cathedral Families,

This weekend marks a beautiful opportunity to grow in community as a "village green" by sharing in the trip to San Antonio together with students from Holy House Academy. We will tour the missions and celebrate Mass together, and then we will join with our sister school, The Atonement Catholic Academy, for a friendly basketball game, to share meals together, and unite in song.

Making music together is an opportunity for bonding, cooperation, humility, and accomplishing something greater than we could on our own. Sacred music draws us into the music of heaven. Music is essential to the life of a community, and essential to the life of the Church.

Please pray for a safe trip for our students, chaperones, and for the flourishing of the educational initiatives of the Ordinariate.

In Christ,

Dr. Alexis Kutarna

The Neglected Muse: Why Music is an Essential Liberal Art

Music transcends the classroom, the concert stage, and professional recordings. It pervades life. Mankind has long used music in all sorts of ways, to celebrate, to lament, to dance, to pray, to soothe or arouse, to woo, to infuse courage and terrify an enemy, to commemorate, to unite a community.

Reenrollment

12319_FACTS_Elevating_800x400 image

All financial aid information is due in FACTS by February 20th. Any financial aid you received this year does not automatically roll over to the next one. It is important for you to submit all the necessary paperwork so we can send you the appropriate financial aid information for next year.

We are also happy to announce that starting 2024-2025 we will move to FACTS for all our enrollment, billing, and grading needs. We are still in the process of migrating out of SchoolAdmin for reenrollment and PowerSchool will continue being our grading software until the end of the current year. For now, please be patient with us as our reenrollment will happen through the new system and we are not quite ready to start receiving submissions. We will inform you of the appropriate steps when we are ready.
