CMS Performing Arts provides a night of laughs

Carrollton Middle School Performing Arts brought laughs to the stage Tuesday night with their production of "When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors." The one-act play follows a "Wizard of Oz" production that goes off the rails with missed cues and forgotten lines. The students’ comedic timing shined as they showed the audience that when everything that can go wrong does go wrong, it’s all part of the fun.

Carrollton High School senior Luke Zimmer published “Blood and Minerals”, a book exploring the exploitation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Inspired by his 2023 internship with the U.S. State Department in Côte d'Ivoire, Luke conducted interviews with Congolese refugees and U.S. diplomats to bring attention to global injustices. His project combines academic dedication with a passion for human rights. Luke is pictured interviewing above.
