CHSC Launches New Clinical Services Department

Tailored Support for Adults at Every Stage

Dear Chapel Haven Schleifer Center Families,


We’re proud to announce the launch of Chapel Haven Schleifer Center’s new Clinical Services Department, thoughtfully designed to meet the evolving needs of the adults we serve. Rooted in our mission to foster independence and lifelong growth, this department offers timely, personalized support to help individuals thrive in every aspect of life.

Our multidisciplinary team brings expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Speech and Language Pathology—with additional specialties on the horizon. Together, we’re building a stronger foundation for emotional wellness, daily living, and meaningful connection.


Through this department, we will be offering:

  • Skill-building groups and workshops
  • Individualized supports for daily living, emotional wellness, and social connection
  • Guidance and resources for families and staff

Fall 2025- September 15 - December 19, 2025


Description: The Clinical Services Department is dedicated to supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of all our individuals at Chapel Haven Schleifer Center. Our team provides targeted workshops that build skills that promote independence and emotional well-being and foster positive relationships. In addition to client-focused programming, we will be adding resources for families and professional development for staff, ensuring a collaborative approach to individual programming.

Each semester, we will offer a variety of workshops designed to support the social, emotional, and behavioral skill development of Chapel Haven individuals from all our programs.

Workshop Title: Emotional Awareness and Coping Strategies

Facilitator: Kelly Caldwell, LMFT

Program Participants: REACH, SAIL, SLP, CATCH, Bridge

Day/Time: Wednesdays 3-4pm

Dates: 6 Weeks- 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22

Cost: $300

Location: TBD

Description: This class is designed for young adults who want to improve their emotional awareness and coping skills. Using a supportive and interactive format, students will learn to identify their own emotions, recognize some of their emotional triggers, and develop effective coping strategies for managing feelings like anxiety, frustration, and stress.


Workshop Title: Healthy Habits and Self-Care

Facilitator: Kelly Caldwell, LMFT

Program Participants: REACH, SAIL, SLP, CATCH, Bridge

Day/Time: Wednesdays 3-4pm

Dates: 6 Weeks- 10/29, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17

Cost: $300

Description: This workshop provides individuals with practical strategies to build and maintain healthy daily routines that support overall well-being. Participants will learn about nutrition, sleep hygiene, exercise, and stress management, with an emphasis on creating sustainable self-care routines. Through guided discussion, interactive activities, and real-world examples, individuals will explore ways to strengthen independence, balance responsibilities, and enhance quality of life. The workshop also fosters peer connection and problem-solving, allowing participants to share strategies and build confidence in managing their own health and wellness.


Workshop Title: Relationships and Social Problem Solving

Facilitator: Sarah Davison, MS, CCC-SLP

Program Participants: ASAT COS, ASAT CATCH

Day/Time: Mondays 4-5pm

Dates: 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/20, 10/27

Cost: $300

Location: ASAT Classroom 1 (Rossman Building)

Description: This 6-week workshop will focus on initiating, building and maintaining personal and professional relationships. Establishing, understanding and respecting boundaries will be a primary focus, as well as utilizing and interpreting nonverbal signals and contextual clues during interactions to assist with understanding when others want to get closer to us emotionally, and when they do not. Advanced social problem-solving skills will also be reviewed and discussed.


Workshop Title: Relationships and Social Problem Solving

Day/Time: Mondays 4-5pm

Dates: 6 Weeks- 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15

Location: ASAT Classroom 1 (Rossman Building)

Description: This 6-week workshop will focus on initiating, building and maintaining personal and professional relationships by utilizing perspective taking skills when communicating. Establishing, understanding and respecting boundaries will be a primary focus. Utilizing and interpreting nonverbal signals and contextual clues during interactions will also be reviewed and discussed.
