Dear CHT Member,

We know here at CHT that housing is essential, and that it needs to be safe and affordable. We also have seen the importance of so many other critical needs of our residents. At the top of that list is child care, essential not only to our residents but to CHT’s staff. You can read my recently published Op-ed piece, co-authored with other housing leaders around the state.

Speaking of housing leaders, many of you know Brenda Torpy and the incredible work she has done throughout her career advancing affordable housing, with CHT being the centerpiece. We are so happy that today she is being recognized for the tremendous impact her leadership and service has had on Vermont communities as she receives the Vermont Lifetime Leadership Award from the Vermont Council on Rural Development.

We have jobs! Especially in maintenance but throughout the organization. And we were voted one of Vermont’s Best Places to Work, so what are you waiting for?!?

I am looking forward to seeing you at the picnic in a few weeks! CHT staff and volunteers are working to make it a great day (I’ll be on the grill!). Be sure to sign up.
