Dear CHT Member,

Our Annual Report is here! This report has resident testimonials and features great information about some of the work CHT completed this past year. The flip book version is fun to read!

We are back to meeting in person! If you haven't already, please sign up for our Annual Meeting and Dinner at the Hilton Hotel on Battery Street in Burlington on Friday, January 27. We hope you'll register today and join us!

Last month I shared that new apartments were ready in Williston at Zephyr Place and 38 people experiencing homelessness were moving in. VTDigger just published a story featuring a few residents who share what being in their new home means to them.

Affordable Housing is a top priority this legislative season. Join us for Legislative Day Feb 17 at the State House in Montpelier to speak with your lawmakers about why affordable housing is important to you! If needed, CHT will provide transportation.

For more than a decade CHT has been a sponsor of Greater Burlington Multicultural Center's Martin Luther King, Jr Remembrance event and we continue to partner with other organizations to fight racism and address historic inequities in our communities. Vermont Racial Justice Housing Jam is an initiative CHT is part of that examines how racial inequities impact access to housing in Vermont. Tune in February 2 for De-commodifying Our Right to Shelter with Dr. Valesca Lima.

CHT is truly a great place to work. Seriously. I mean it. Here’s a testimonial from one of our staff that I received in an email: "Next week is my 7 year anniversary at CHT and I just wanted to say THANK YOU. I am so grateful to work here, for the work we do, for the flexibility when it comes to sickness and childcare, for the time off, and everything in between. I can’t wait to see what is to come!"

Check out our career page for openings and help us spread the word!
