Happy New Year!
CHT’s Annual Meeting is coming up at the end of the month. It’s a great event where we get together to discuss the past year, meet new Board members and celebrate at a sit-down dinner! Please sign up and join us! Our new Annual Report will be available at the meeting and you can take a peek online now.
We also invite you to join us at Citizen Lobby Day at the Legislature in February – this is a day to share your housing story with legislators and show support for affordable housing. CHT is happy to help you prepare! We are always looking for residents and homeowners who want to share what affordable housing means to them.
Tomorrow, January 18 is Homeless Awareness Day and I'll be joining members of the Chittenden County Homeless Alliance at City Hall Park in Burlington from 5 to 6pm to advocate for continued progress towards a day when all have a safe, decent place to call home. All are welcome.
Town Meeting Day is March 5 and that will be here before we know it. Now is a great time to make sure your voter registration is up to date, or to register if you are not. Go to the Secretary of State website https://mvp.vermont.gov/. On that site you can also request an early/absentee ballot, see sample ballots (when ready), and confirm where you vote. Your voice is your vote!
