Dear CHT Member,

Feels like spring is here. And with that, we here at CHT remain hopeful and optimistic about the future. Yet the challenges we face as a community are real: post pandemic fatigue, rising addiction rates and homelessness are more prevalent than ever. But we continue to rise to the occasion, responding to the needs of our residents while working towards building community and resiliency. And overall, very hopeful about the future as we continue to grow and build more housing and programs in response.

CHT Homebuyer Education Classes are available online and in person and interpreted versions are being offered in French (Français), Nepali (नेपाली) and Arabic (عربي). More languages will continue to be added.

In partnership with multiple community organizations, CHT created an apartment orientation video in 15 languages to help people learn about their home.

Mark your calendars now and save 11:00 - 1:30pm on Saturday, August 5th to join us at North Beach for the Members’ Day Picnic! I’ll be flipping burgers on the grill! In next month's newsletter, look for details to sign-up for this afternoon of free fun and food.

Housing is health care, and CHT continues to connect safe and stable housing with access to community resources and “supporting people where they’re at." If you or someone you care about is in crisis, call or text 988

Buying a home can be complicated and expensive. Many people are unsure whether homeownership is even possible. CHT’s workshops can help. These workshops give you the tools and information you need to know before purchasing a home.

If you or someone you know is considering purchasing a home, taking one of our classes is a great place to start! To sign up, visit the Homebuyer Education page on our website.
