  • On Friday, January 11, 7:00-9:00 p.m., VOICES AT SAINT PETER’S, a cabaret of poetry, music & comedy
  • On Saturday, January 12, 11:00 a.m., Mass with the Ordination of John Keogh with reception to follow
  • On Sunday, January 13, all our liturgies celebrate the Baptism of our Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor John Keogh will preside at the 11:00 a.m. mass, his first mass as an ordained pastor in Christ’s Church and Cantor Bálint Karosi and our Saint Peter's Choir will return as well.
  • 10:00 a.m. Forum will be led by the Rev. Dr. Jonathan Linman and will be the first of a two-part series entitled “Luther’s Wisdom on Preaching from His Quotable Quotes.”
  • 6:00 p.m. Jazz Vespers will feature the "Immigrantet" with Juan Diego Villalobos on vibraphone, Adam O’Farrill on trumpet, Edward Pérez on bass and Daniel Prim on drums.

Pastor Jared Stahler is one of 12 pastors of the Metropolitan New York Synod to have been chosen by the Synod’s GATHERED Strategic Planning Committee’s Leadership Development Team to attend a week-long workshop, the California Lutheran Pastor’s Executive Skills Workshop at Spirit in the Desert retreat center, Carefree, Arizona beginning January 14. This is part 1 of a 3-part annual series.  

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS IN FEBRUARY will be dedicated to community work together to prepare documents needed to begin the process of calling a new pastor. Each evening will begin with Mass/Misa at 6:00 p.m. followed by a meal and conversation on our Mission Site Profile. Please watch for details.

  • The Fiction Book Discussion Group will next meet on Sunday, January 27, 2019 after brunch (roughly 1:15 p.m.) to discuss Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. We will meet in Pastor Derr's office. This is a longer book, so no "read ahead" title this time! But we welcome suggestions for books to read and discuss, and all are welcome to join us!
