Dear Bear Creek Family,
Here we go again! 2020 has been a faith-filled exercise in flexibility, humility and grace, hasn't it?
As of yesterday, July 13, Governor Newsom announced new state and county regulations that would require San Joaquin County to "close all indoor operations" of a variety of businesses, including "places of worship" for the next 3 weeks.
Our staff and leadership have spent the morning prayerfully discussing options for this weekend's services. Given that we are committed to offering an in-person opportunity for worship, we will be hosting
Church on the Lawn this Sunday at 8:30am.
We have plenty of room on our front lawn to facilitate anyone that would like to attend (no more RSVP's!) and still observe social distancing.
We invite you to bring your families along with your own blankets or chairs. If you'd like to bring a pop-up tent or umbrella, you may do so but will be asked to sit on the sides or in the back so as not to obscure the view for others.
We also want to invite you to join us for a time of
Pre-Service Prayer at 8am
. The battle is won in prayer!
For those who don't feel comfortable, or are unable to join us at this time, we will still offer a simplified livestream experience on
For the remainder of July & August, we will be
taking a break from Midweek Service
. Instead, we ask that you reserve an hour each Wednesday to join us in prayer from your homes. Be watching your email each week as we'll be sending prayer points and Scripture to focus on.
Lastly, beginning today,
our offices will be closed
for the next few weeks but we are still available by PHONE (209-369-2202) or
. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our staff with questions, prayer requests or needs.
As our current season requires constant flexibility, we appreciate your patience, support & prayers during this time. We love you and look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
