In addition, on the evening of Wednesday, May 21, the Cordage Institute will present the Richards Technical Contribution Award to a representative of the Technical Committee, and Tony Bon, a longtime member who served on the Cordage Institute’s Board of Directors from 2009 to 2015, will be recognized with the prestigious Gale Foster Award of Merit.

The registration fee includes admittance to all onsite meetings and events, as well as breakfast and coffee breaks on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, lunch on Tuesday, and the cocktail reception and dinner on Wednesday evening. The Welcome Reception and Dinner on Tuesday evening is sponsored by Associate Members, and all are invited to attend.

 

Spouses/Companions who are full-time employees of CI member companies must pay the full conference registration fee.

 

Separate fees apply for golf, club rentals, and the Montreal Walking Tour.

All fees are non-refundable after Friday, May 9th. Cancellations prior to that date will be refunded in full, less a $50 US per registration processing fee.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

Sim Whitehill Golf Tournament

The Sim Whitehill Golf Tournament will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21 with consecutive tee times at the St-Lambert Golf Club. This stunning 9-hole, par-36 course welcomes players of all skill levels.

 

While there, relax at the clubhouse, bar, restaurant, or outdoor terrace. Enjoy a meal curated by the acclaimed White Rabbit restaurant team, or warm up on the putting green.


Transportation will be coordinated between the hotel and the St-Lambert Golf Club.


Sim Whitehill Golf Tournament: $40 per person 

Club Rentals: $20 per person

Old Montreal Walking Tour

This discovery walking tour is one of the best ways to get a real introduction to Montréal, a city best explored on foot. You will discover the famous weatherproof city (Underground City – RÉSO) and explore the charming streets of Old Montréal, where history comes to life. The tour will end at the stunning 19th-century architectural masterpiece, the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal.  


The tour will depart from the hotel at 1:00 p.m. and return at approximately 4:00 p.m.

Proper Attire

For all meetings, the attire is casual. The cocktail receptions and dinners are informal.


Weather

The daytime temperature in Montreal is expected to average about 64°F (18°C). Evening temperatures are expected to average about 47°F (8°C). 


Ground Transportation & Parking

Hotel Parking:

Valet parking is $42 CAD overnight for those traveling by car.

 

By Public Transportation:

The STM 747 Express Bus offers a direct route from the Montreal-Trudeau International Airport to downtown Montreal. Buses depart every 15 minutes, and the journey to the René-Lévesque / Jeanne-Mance stop takes approximately 31 minutes. From there, it's a short walk to Hôtel Place d'Armes. The fare is $11 CAD, and the exact amount in change is required. 

 

Taxi/Uber/Lyft:

The cost for a one-way taxi service between the Montreal-Trudeau International Airport and the hotel, which is approximately a 25-minute drive, is $50 CAD. Ride sharing apps are available for local transportation.
