ACTIVIZED VIRTUAL SCREENINGS
Two weeks ago the ACTIVIZED tour was being launched nationwide with over 40 screenings across the country and the world premiere at the Thin Line Fest in Texas. Due to COVID-19, much has changed. The filmmakers believe that watching Activized and engaging in meaningful discussions about democracy, activism and citizen power is critical at this time. So, while live events are on hold, they are introducing VIRTUAL SCREENINGS for groups that want to organize an online "watch party" followed by a livestream Q&A with the director or subjects. Book your virtual screening here!
ALL THE LONELY PEOPLE DURING COVID-19
The team creating our sponsored film about the epidemic of loneliness, ALL THE LONELY PEOPLE had begun post-production just when the coronavirus was beginning to take its toll. They have been spending the weeks since then back in production, shooting again. The topic is more relevant than ever as millions of us face months of isolation at home. Producer Joe Applebaum has been helping film subjects make diaries of their increased isolation during lockdowns while Director Stu Maddux is documenting front line workers who are connecting with those in need.
STREAM WHEEL OF LIGHT/LA RUEDA DE LA VIDA FROM PATCHWORKS FILMS

PROTECT OUR PAST UPDATE
A message from producer, Ellen Briggs:

Hope you all are safe and well. We are, but historic houses are not, meaning too many are being demolished. Last week two disappeared in our small village of Chatham. This is why we need to produce a full-length documentary about the issues and consequences of saving historic properties in America. This is a social issue. The cultural fabric of our communities is being destroyed at an alarming rate. Once Gone, Lost Forever ☹ We need your help in spreading the word. Please go to our website, www.ProtectOurPast.org to learn more.
One last thought from Greg Jacobs, a preservationist, “The greenest houses are those that are still standing.” Take a minute to digest this truth. ( ellen@protectourpast.org )

"REBOUND"
Directed by Tamara Perkins

Rebound follows the stories of women in higher education as they navigate life after incarceration. Each carries their own trauma and demons, from surviving interpersonal violence and abuse, to reconciling their sense of self worth against a society that refuses to see beyond their crimes. The women navigate parole, family, and their own healing, as they endeavor to shape current and develop new programs and practices specifically focused on the needs of women and mothers returning home post-incarceration.
