MINISTER OF LONELINESS UPDATE
Momentum picks up for MINISTER OF LONELINESS , a film about the global epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The director, Stu Maddux, launched a social impact campaign for the film in April by sharing some of the fascinating ways people are breaking their grip on loneliness. Social care professionals got the first look at what they are discovering during the American Society of Aging’s national conference. Meanwhile, producer Joe Applebaum says interest is growing from potential international NGOs to help fund more production (the film is now 40% shot). But until then, they have an immediate need of about $30,000 to immerse themselves in the lives of people just starting to open up about their crippling loneliness. Can’t stop now!

3 SECONDS BEHIND THE WHEEL ON AMAZON PRIME
3 SECONDS BEHIND THE WHEEL   was released on Amazon Prime Video in April. Just after the release, Good Morning America called the documentary "Groundbreaking." The film follows the lives of eight drivers over 6 months using in-car cameras and tracking technology to monitor the often-hidden behavior of distracted drivers. It takes a different approach because it doesn't lecture the audience. It is simply a study of human behavior. Read the full GMA piece here .

Next up, the filmmakers are working to make communities aware of the doc as a teaching tool through their website. They are also raising dollars for a part 2 that looks at distraction from the perspective of cyclists and pedestrians. Check out the website and learn more here .
