CIE PARTNER MEETING RECAP

Hi CIE Partners,

Thank you all for joining us at the CIE Partner Gathering on Thursday, April 28, 2022.

During the meeting, partners participated in a User Experience conversation and poll where we collected feedback on some an issue our partners are facing when processing referrals in CIE.

Issue: When client records are missing contact information, partners aren't able to follow up on Direct Referrals.

Proposed Solution: Require that a phone number, email address, or home address be entered before a Direct Referral can be submitted.

Summary of Discussion

Partners noted that some clients, especially unhoused persons, may not have a phone number or email. Some recommended that Case Managers provide themselves as a point of contact (if applicable)as long as there is some case note to state that the number belongs to the case manager.

100% of the partners agreed that contact information should be required in order to contact a client.

Next Steps: The 2-1-1 San Diego CIE team will be incorporating this change into the system with support and feedback from partners.
