CIE PARTNER MEETING RECAP

Hi CIE Partners,

Thank you for attending the February 2025 CIE Partner Gathering!

We were pleased to welcome 47 attendees from various organizations across our community. During the meeting, we celebrated Black History Month by sharing books written by Black authors, podcasts hosted by Black hosts, and highlighting Black-owned businesses to support and uplift.

In our CIE Community Spotlight segment, we discussed emerging immigration resource needs and trends in our community. We also shared proactive resources addressing these needs, including Know Your Rights campaigns and training sessions, as well as other immigrant rights organizations and resources.

Maria Saldivar and Raychel Sager from the 211 San Diego team highlighted the CalEITC program just in time for Tax Season! The 211 San Diego team educates and screens clients for eligible tax credits and connects them with VITA tax services offered by various community partners. You can directly refer clients to this service by logging into the partner community and accessing the referral search. The process typically takes 1 to 3 business days, and the team documents the outcomes and interactions with the client.

Castle Funatake, 211/CIE San Diego Data Analyst, joined the meeting to update attendees on the updates to the CIE Utilization reports, which now feature an aggregate agency score, team performance breakdowns, and utilization indicators. To request your copy or learn more, please contact the CIE Partner Experience team at CIEHelpdesk@211sandiego.org.

We shared an update on the upcoming CIE Impact Survey, where you can share your insights to help us improve, identify gaps, and shape our strategies for fiscal year 2025-2026.

Joanna Oboza also shared an update on a new desk aid for referrals to the 211/CIE's CalAIM Navigation Program, which accepts referrals for all Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans, Enhanced Care Management populations, and Housing services. You can download the desk aid here.

Mark your calendars for the next CIE Partner meeting scheduled for March 27, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Please register to attend.

We look forward to a year full of connections and collaboration.

With appreciation,

- The 211/CIE San Diego Team
