CIE PARTNER MEETING RECAP

Hey CIE Partners,

We are grateful for your participation in the CIE partner gathering on May 23, 2024. Your presence meant a lot to us and it was wonderful to shine a light on Mental Health Awareness Month and to hear about the things that bring you clarity, joy, peace, and healing. We also took the opportunity to honor Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and were enriched by learning about the diverse cultural events and rituals that hold significance for you. Thank you for being a part of this meaningful event.

We announced that we have added a new partner, the San Diego Regional Center to our CIE Partner Network.

Their mission is to serve and empower individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, helping them achieve their goals with the support of community partners. Their vision is for individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling and productive lives as valued members of their communities.

We also promoted the CalFresh Awareness Month calendar of events and brought awareness to community partner organizations that provide screening and application assistance for CalFresh and ways to apply.

We shared updates about new direct referral opportunities. You can find the latest direct referral opportunity list here.

The wonderful Elizabeth Rincon from the CIE San Diego Partner Experience team walked us through the updated Referral Management Flow and Referral Management Updates which you can learn more about in the May 2024 newsletter.

Register for the 2024 CIE Summit

Join us for the 8th Annual CIE Summit! This hybrid event will be hosted in person at the University of San Diego campus’ Hahn University Center. This year will kick off with a pre-conference CIE 101 session on June 24th and two full days of engaging sessions on June 25-26.

This year’s content will be focused on sharing innovations in designing and implementing community-led care infrastructure from emerging CIE models across the nation. Workshops will focus on lessons learned, best practices, and practical applications across early to late stages of planning and implementation. Cross-cutting topics will focus on:

Centering Lived Experience
Healthcare In Action
Aligning with Policy

Each session will spotlight tools and resources that can be brought back to your own community for application with the option to select from the following breakout tracks tailored to the different stages of building a CIE:

System Build Phase
Launch Phase
Scale Phase

This hybrid event offers an in-person experience in San Diego, CA, or a virtual experience, powered by our conference platform Whova.
