Hi CIE Partners,

Thank you for attending the in-person CIE partner gathering on October 24, 2024. It was great to see you "in real life!"

We started the meeting with a welcome from Camey Christenson, the Chief Business Development Officer from 211/CIE San Diego, and a brief introduction to the CIE San Diego team!

Zenia Torres walked us through a collective community acknowledgment where we honored the Kumeyaay, the original people of San Diego County, and observed all of the wonderful events and celebrations happening in October.

We welcomed, We See You San Diego, our newest CIE Partner, and introduced Laura Chez, their Executive Director, and Candace Barrett, Recovery Coordinator who talked about their services and lived experience.

We See You San Diego is a nonprofit that takes a different approach to seeing people leave chronic homelessness and addiction behind. Two things that often don't go together are people who live on the streets and a lavish dinner party. But every Tuesday, families and individuals from all over San Diego come together to host a party for people who live on the streets.

Aidee Roman, Alana Kalinowski, and Zenia Torres shared some highlights from the CIE network and partner utilization. Be sure to review the meeting slides for more details.

We concluded the CIE Partner Gathering with a networking session, where partners had the chance to connect with other attendees and discuss the important work we do in the community.

Please note that there will be no meetings in November or December. The next CIE Partner Gathering is scheduled for January 23, 2025, at 9:00 AM via Zoom. You can register to attend here.
