The way partners interact with the CIE Partner Community is crucial to the overall care coordination efforts of the network. To continue driving platform engagement, CIE partners can now expect:

Closed-Loop Referral Reminders

How? Automated email communications (see sample email below).

Who is Impacted? Referral Managers and Care Coordinators who have been assigned Closed-Loop Referrals

Why? To remind and encourage partners to take action on Pending and/or Open referrals.

These alerts will be coming from ciehelpdesk@211sandiego.org

If you have any questions about an email you receive from us please contact us via our helpdesk.

CalFresh Awareness Month & Resources

Recent changes enacted through House Resolution 1 (H.R. 1) will affect CalFresh access for some qualified noncitizens. As a result, a portion of individuals previously eligible for food benefits will no longer meet program requirements.

To support partners and community organizations in communicating these changes, CDSS has released two new outreach materials:

Partners are encouraged to share these outreach tools broadly with the communities they serve.

A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document

Tip 1: CIE partners can login to the Partner Community & pre-screen their clients for CalFresh?

Here is how you do it:

1. Search for and click into your client's CIE profile

2. Navigate to the "Questionnaires" Tab to find "Create Screening" option

3. Select CalFresh Prescreening option to begin

Tip 2: CIE Partners can send a closed-loop referral to 211 San Diego's CalFresh Enrollment Team.

Why?

  1. To connect your client to over-the-phone CalFresh application support. Enrollment Specialists follow the status of the client's application and communicate updates with them throughout the application process.
  2. The referral sender (you) receives an outcome for the referral. This provides visibility on whether the client received services or not.
