The CIS Tick-R-Tape Tag
The holidays are coming. Are your gift sets and electronics protected?
Once again CIS Security Solutions and the Loss Prevention Research Council partnered with a well known retailer to test our products. With the research and interviews conducted by the LPRC, we have some quotes we can share with you about our Tick-R-Tape Tag.

Quotes from customers, associates and offenders:

Offenders:
  • “Maybe add signage explaining what it does.”
  • “That’s extremely noticeable, can’t really be improved. Like the keeper boxes too. But the Tick-R-Tape is more deterrent, like ‘might as well sit on the curb, waiting for the cops to come get you.’ ”
  • “They’re noticeable, they will keep people away. Signs maybe.”
  • “Most high tech thing I’ve ever seen.”
  • “It should be less noticeable. Tick is too big. It should be okay for anyone to pick up.”
  • “It took picking it up and manipulating to tell that it was adhesive but you’d already look suspicious looking that closely anyway. Make the circuits more obvious. Pretty cool, to be honest.”
  • “It’s already a credible theft. Maybe a picture of a dude in jail: ‘this could be you’ - that’s about it.

Associates:
  • “The plastic plate is left behind. It’s weird. Customers might feel weird walking out the door. Throwing it out makes me uneasy.”
  • “It needs a smaller tick piece for smaller merchandise.”
 
Customers:
  • “I’m not sure there’s anything else you could do, it seems very secure.”
  • “This is pretty good, but I don’t want the sensor to go off.”
  • “Make it smaller.” (Said by two different customers)
  • “Make it smaller, it’s intimidating.”
  • “It already feels very comfortable.”
We also wanted a smaller version of the Tick-R-Tape Tag, for those smaller fragrance packages, so we made it!

Introducing the Mini Tick-R-Tape Tag!
The Mini, as we call it, is a smaller version of the Tick-R-Tape Tag, with 3-alarm capability. The clear base will not detract from the packaging, and it can be used by itself, with conductive tape or with its own Corner Label. Come see it for yourself in Gainesville, FL Sept. 30 - Oct. 2.
