Turn the Heat Up in August
Summer not over just yet! Here are some events to feel the summer vibe in August!
Recently, one of our leader of Latinx Leadership group took lead in creating the Latinx Baile of the Summer in July!
Education Work Group presents:
Creciendo Juntos and Agnor-Hurt Elementary School are collaborating this year to be a space where parents and their children can learn fun international games!

It is a time to remember old childhood games that parents used to play and the music that children are learning now! Parents may also have the opportunity to meet their children's teachers and whom to talk to at school.

With the first week through, we have had amazing families come out and share us their songs from their country!

But don't miss out on our next sessions on August 7th 9:30-11:30am ! We will have piñata building for the kids to decorate!
You can RVSP or invite families to RVSP to come so we can know how many yummy food to bring:

Unity Days Cville is creating a
community resource fair to get citizens involved with organizations creating change and action within Charlottesville.

It will be on Market Street Park.

"Círculo Empresarial Latino" 

El Círculo Empresarial es un grupo compuesto de pequeños empresarios quienes se reúnen una vez al mes. Este círculo provee un ambiente seguro y confidencial en el cual sus participantes debaten y resuelven problemas de la vida real que se experimentan al ser propietario de pequeñas empresas. Este círculo empresarial ofrece estructura y apoyo pero sobretodo te ayuda a tomar responsabilidad para que tu negocio crezca y se desarrolle de una forma cohesiva y saludable. 

Requisitos para participar:
 Estar dispuesto a compartir las fortalezas, debilidades y los retos presentes en tu negocio 
Trabajar por lo menos medio tiempo en tu negocio
Asistir a la reunión de 90 minutos una vez al mes por un mínimo de 6 meses consecutivos
Pagar $50 de inscripción

A "Back-to-School" Festival in Southwood Neighborhood-
387 Hickory St, Charlottesville, VA 22902

It's on Wednesday, August 14 th  from 5 – 7 pm.  

This is a wonderful opportunity to greet our students and families who live in the neighborhood and together celebrate the beginning of the new school year. The families are always happy to see you wearing your school shirts!!

C’Ville Walks With Heart 
Saturdays, 8am , through Aug. 24, various locations 
From June to August, families and individuals of all ages gather to walk for health. Sister Circle Support Group

Receptionist At Morningside of Charlottesville
Morningside of Charlottesville is a beautiful community in Charlottesville, VA, with more than 100 units offering assisted living and Alzheimer's care.

You're expected to have the a bility to answer the telephone, take detailed messages, respond to verbal inquiries, take direction from different sources, handle multiple tasks and be organized in a fast paced environment. You're expected to enjoy working with the elderly and to interact with residents who are highly susceptible to common illness without posing additional health risks and must maintain a professional appearance.

Administrative Assistant at Waterstone Mortgage
The receptionist is expected to assists with daily business duties, answer phones, greet customers, and maintains office. Provide general administrative and clerical support. Distribution of incoming and outgoing mail. Schedule appointments/book conference rooms/coordinate meetings and organize catering upon requests.

Patient Access Specialist at UVA Medical Center
Performs Patient Access functions of a specialized nature through the application and interpretation of policies and procedures and requiring the use of independent judgment in a medical setting.

You're expected to demonstrates exceptional customer service both for in-person and telephone activities. Demonstrates expected behaviors applicable to the Medical Center and Revenue Cycle access systems and policies procedures and guidelines.

Inside Out Trauma Counselor at ReadyKids
Trauma Counselor is responsible for providing clinical assessment and specialized treatment to children and youth who are victims of trauma as well as their caregivers. Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field. State licensure or license eligible in designated field. Minimum of 2 years experience working with children, teens and families. Knowledge of treatment needs for abused and neglected children and at-risk youth.
