National Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. This past week students honored those who have greatly contributed to Catholic education.

Through trying times Catholic Schools persevere and continue to carry out the mission of Catholic education for their students and families despite the numerous challenges they face. This was possible because of the extraordinary dedication of the administrations and members of the faculty and staff. This Catholic Schools Week we thank and honor all those who have worked tirelessly to continuing to provide Catholic education to our communities.
We end Catholic Schools Week with Teacher Appreciation Day! Principal Arbitello and members of the Student Government presented the CK Faculty with certificates of appreciation and special gift. We thank our entire faculty and staff for their hard work and dedication to providing Catholic education.

"Thank you to the teachers of Christ the King for making us feel grateful to be members of the CK Family. You inspire us all to be great and make us enjoy coming to school everyday. Without you, there would be no Christ the King. You play the biggest role in the foundation of our school, so thank you again. We all appreciate you and everything that you have and will offer to us." - Alanna Nichols ('22).

"We are thankful for all that the faculty have done for us especially during Covid. Thank you for caring about doing your job well and caring about each and everyone of your students. We are so grateful to have you guide us and help us to become better people. We would not be where we are today without all of you. The Class of 2022 will miss all of you." - Alexa Germosen ('22).
Enrollment for the Christ the King Class of 2026 is underway! We look forward to welcoming students from local schools such as St. Margaret Catholic Academy, Sacred Heart Catholic Academy, Notre Dame Catholic Academy, P.S/I.S 128 and P.S/I.S. 119.

This past week Middle Village Prep celebrated National School Choice Week. They highlighted the national theme of "putting children first." Middle Village Prep celebrated their students' option to have select MVP as their school of choice, and they thank the students for trusting in them.

To show their school spirit they had different activities each day. They had a I love MVP day, where students joined a writing contest and wrote about what they enjoy about MVP. They had a MVP day, where student got to rep their school colors. They also had a trivia day, where students took a quiz to see who knew the most about their school; inspirational quote day, where students wrote down and decorated their favorite quotation; and thank a teacher day, where students got to express how much they appreciate their teachers.

The students and staff had a blast!
