MIDTERM SCHEUDLE
CK ATHLETIC PROGRAM
Most people know Christ the King for its athletics, athletes and coaches. What most people don't realize is the time and effort that other students contribute to support each and every sport at Christ the King. The increasing number of Christ the King sporting events aired on Facebook Live requires a team of students to work the cameras, conduct research and writing for commentary, and update other social media sites. These sports-related opportunities provide the rest of the student population the chance to learn about careers in communications and broadcast journalism. The current tight-knit group of students performing this vital service helps to increase the school's following via social media, helps our student-athletes get recruited and continues on the athletic tradition that Christ the King has been known for and will continues to be known for. More than just the student-athletes, what makes Christ the King a national powerhouse in sports is the dedicated students who support the athletic program from behind the scenes through social media and live broadcasts.

Thank you to our Royal fans for continuing supporting us on Facebook.

The valedictorian of the first graduating class of Christ the King in 1966, Edward G. Mayr, passed away several months ago. Classmate and friend Albert Meyer ('66), President of STUORG (Student Organization, Boys division) 1965-1966, wanted to share a store he wrote with the Christ the King community. Thank you Albert for reaching out; we look forward to hearing more from our alumni. If you have an idea for a story, please email [email protected].
