HUNGRY MONK
It is always a proud moment when we see our former Royals giving back and continuing to live the Christ the King mission. Mike Lopez, an alumnus of the Class of 2001, founded Hungry Monk, a nonprofit started to address the needs of homeless individuals throughout New York City. Hungry Monk, founded in 2017, has grown from serving 200 people a week to 2,000 during the pandemic. Since the pandemic hit, Hungry Monk has distributed food to more than 10,000 families.
His ministry includes sorting food donations, rescuing food from restaurants and grocery stores, and distributing foods with their food truck and pantry, as well as to churches and other organizations.

It was spirit week at Middle Village Prep!
Each day was a different theme. Students participated in crazy hair day, jersey day, 90's day and twin day. The week ended with a Halloween celebration.

Check out their Instagram for pictures of the week. We loved to see the Royals represented on jersey day.
