AFFILIATE SPOTLIGHT

In Butler County, there have been 12 brave law enforcement officers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our community. These officers served and sacrificed for a purpose far greater than themselves, and they will forever be remembered for their unwavering courage and devotion to their higher calling. They each gave, as President Lincoln said, the “last full measure of devotion” to the community we call home.

The El Dorado Community Foundation is accepting donations to make the “Butler County Law Enforcement Memorial” a reality. Please read about these courageous individuals and the plan to honor their memory using the links below.

You can help with a donation made payable to The El Dorado Community Foundation. We ask that “The Butler County Law Enforcement Memorial” be written in the memo line of checks. If you would prefer, CLICK HERE TO DONATE ONLINE.

Visit the Butler County Sheriff's Office Facebook Page for a detailed list of all the honorees who will be included on the memorial. You can also view the details and links to donate on CKCF's Website.

CKCF ATTENDS 2022 CONFERENCE

2022 Conference: “Amplifying Impact”

Community foundations are in a unique position to “amplify” impact in their communities. Through equitable grant making, socially responsible impact investing and entrepreneurial ecosystem building, as well as connecting multiple community capitals to strategies, community foundations unlock and root wealth locally for greater impact and social return.

CKCF Staff and Board Members attended the Conference October 12-14, 2022 at the Marriott in Wichita. Back in person, the experience was lively and energizing. Connections with other like sized foundations was a real bonus for this event. It was evident, rural or urban, you can grow your foundation by serving community and donor intentions, needs, even some wants, for making our communities stronger. CKCF staff and volunteers were experts in the room with a session on SDG and Impact Investing. We learned all about marketing and promotion and realized the importance of volunteerism at the board table. This learning experience makes us better at serving you!

Thanks to Kansas Health Foundation for offsetting our registration fee, making it a cost friendly event.
