Update 1: Are You Ready to be a Candidate for National Certification?
Learn more through various updates from the Certification Committee in CL Weekly through the 2015 year.

National Certification for Lay Ecclesial Ministers promotes professional, competent and faithful ministry that is recognized from one diocese to another. Part one of "Why should I be certified?" focuses on affirmation and credibility. Be affirmed and lifted up in your ministry and have your ministry professionally acknowledged by an outside authority. Certification is an acknowledgement of your pastoral and professional competence in ministry relative to national standards. It enhances your credibility as a lay ecclesial minister and the credibility of your field of ministry. Initial applications for candidacy and completed portfolios will be accepted up until October 1, 2015.
