Mahalo Eco-Friendliness
A spirit of eco-friendliness permeates CLCA's Annual Convention. Honor Papahānaumoku by reading the official convention program online here (10 MB PDF). Hawaii offers better uses for trees.
Ma kai Registration?
Despite some staff members' hopes to the contrary, the CLCA Registration Desk will not be seaward (Ma kai). Plan on picking up your name badges in the Honoapi’ ilani Ballroom Foyer. Registration is open:

Tour with Sturdy Kāmaʻa
For the Kipuka Olowalu and Pu’u Mahoe education tours, sturdy kāmaʻa (footwear) is strongly encouraged. No kāmaʻa pale wāwae or hila ʻauliʻi (sandals or high heels), 'olu'olu (please). Also recommended: Pāpale (hat) and ʻaila pale lā (sunscreen). A bottle of water is also good, but a bottle of adult beverages is best saved for the Friday evening Trophy Awards ceremony.
Pro Tips
"Spam musubi is awesome!", notes CLCA Executive Director Sandra Giarde, CAE. If you want to enjoy this delicacy, advance reservations are a must — restaurants and excursion providers (boat tours, etc.) are operating at reduced capacity.
