From the Desk of Pastor Harold
Greetings Christian Love Fellowship Ministries Family. I would like to share something with you from my heart to yours. I became a member of this great ministry almost 30 years ago and I had the blessing of being raised up in this House as a man of God, husband, Father, and Servant of the Most High. I grew up being discipled at CLFMI by some great men of God and to this day I still listen to their wisdom.
I have embraced the vision of this ministry during my years here at CLFMI and I will continue to do so as it is my purpose and mission in my lifetime. I vowed to God that we (CLFMI) will be a people that will share the Gospel through how we live, how we love, and how we serve!

I recognize that we are in some crazy times right now, but I have no doubt that our Father God will sustain us and keep us moving for His Glory! We must come together as one body, ready, willing, and dedicated to serve the Most High through being His Ambassadors here on earth. Are you ready to embrace this journey with me and Pastor Angela? We need all of you to play a role, not a spectator, but we need skin in the game from you!

I’ve always felt that CLFMI has the most talented and gifted people in the world right here in this house and we are to use all of our gifts and talents to Advance the Kingdom of God here on earth as it is in Heaven. For the next four weeks if your truly serious about CLFMI being the place where God has called you----

Lets Go to Work as one body serving one
God Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
4-Week Journey:

  • Start your day praying and reading your Word daily.
  • Check in on someone God has laid on your heart each day.
  • If you are a part of a Ministry get together with those on your team to pray, plan, prepare, and execute with purpose.
  • Speak to someone about your faith weekly and invite someone to either one of our bible studies, Sunday Session, and to our Sunday Morning Worship each week.

Please know that I am only a call away and if you need to talk to me for any reason call me. Yes, school has restarted for me and I will most likely be tied up working during the day, but you are welcome to call or text me.

Pastor Harold

An Encouraging Word
Encouraging Word Article
September 2020

Ambassadors for Christ

Ambassadors represent the home from which they come and the head of that home. So how does this apply to Christians? Well I thought you would never ask! The bible says that this is not our home. (Hebrews 13:14-16). It also says that we, Christians, are ambassadors for Christ (2 Cor. 5:20); in other words we represent Him (Christ) in the earth. Ambassadors are not always sent into the most desirable and favorable situations. So how does this apply to us today? We may not be in the place where we are comfortable, but we are where we are needed. If we are representing Christ as we should, we are having an affect even if we are not aware of it.
Remember what ever the circumstances we are in (be it pleasant or not) this is not permanent. We that are Christian have a glorious and wonderful eternal life ahead. Remember this is not our home. Our job is to shine our light in the midst of darkness so that others can find their way.
Till next time, if the Lord is willing.

Pastor James Green also invites you to listen to the lyrics to an old R&B song. The song is titled "Wake Up Everybody" by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes—which was released in 1975. As you read or listen to the lyrics, you'll see how relevant the words are to the world we're living in today. Although this is a R&B song, the Word of God reminds us--

"Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed." Romans 13:11. In addition "Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame" (1 Corinthians 15:34).

If you or someone you know is facing a mental health emergency, remember there is help available here in Washtenaw County. Also the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Hours: Available 24 hours.
Getting Started
Community Mental Health seeks to improve quality of life and increase personal fulfillment for all of our community members, particularly during challenging times, including crisis, and for those that may be dealing with ongoing conditions. Service information and crisis services and supports are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays.
To get started, you can call 734-544-3050, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
When you call, express that you are looking to learn more about receiving behavioral health services. There will be someone from the clinical team will talk with you about what you are looking for, what your needs are, and ask for more information regarding your situation. The clinician will also assess to see if you are currently in a crisis and may be in need of immediate support from our mobile crisis team. From there, you can be scheduled with our Youth and Families services if you are under 18, the I/DD program if you have a documented intellectual or developmental disability, the program for Adults living with Mental Health and/or a Co-occurring Condition, or you could be connected with our CARES Team or another community provider.
During the screening process, staff will gather enough information to determine which program you should be scheduled with. Once you are scheduled, you will come in for a full assessment where we will ask questions about your situation, your past history, your goals and expectations, and determine how to best meet your needs. Some of the questions asked during your first visit may be similar to questions you were asked over the phone. These questions will help us clarify information and learn even more about your situation and how to best serve you.
Community Mental Health is mandated to provide behavioral health services to those who have a severe mental illness, severe emotional disturbances, or a qualifying intellectual or developmental disability to those who have some form of Medicaid. Each person’s situation is evaluated on an individual basis. If we find that you do not meet the criteria for our services, you may be referred to our CARES program, or we can work with you to connect you with a community provider who will meet your needs and is covered under your health insurance.
Please see our Contact Information page to see our hours and locations.
