Kindergarten CEC & Pilot Study

In this virtual session, we will provide an overview of the new Kindergarten Classroom Environment Checklist.

We will also discuss the research behind this tool and introduce an opportunity to participate in a pilot research study.

Learning happens when students feel secure, involved, connected, and aided in their learning environments. For students to learn, they need to feel safe, included, connected and supported in their classrooms and school.

The Kindergarten Classroom Environment Checklist (KCEC) is a tool to systematically analyze the learning environment in which student behavior occurs. The list focuses on a quality learning environment, expectations, and routines that promote academic success in the classroom. This tool can help you set classroom improvement goals, track progress over time, and offer training or technical support opportunities It is designed to address all relevant areas of the classroom.
