Thank you to all of you who reached out to me last week to take tickets off my hands. You know who you are & I truly appreciate you! I've had a few people tell me that the online link to buy raffle tickets isn't working. I wasn't aware that there was an online link for anything other than cornhole team registration, so that might be part of the problem. I still have more tickets left-- so if you were waiting for me to sound just a little bit more desperate-- this is me sounding a little bit more desperate. I have quite a few less tickets left thanks to many of you-- but still way more than zero & less than 2 weeks left to sell them!
CLI is still looking for success stories that we can share to show examples of people making progress toward their personal goals-- especially examples that show how CLI or another provider was helpful to enable the person to reach that goal. We're working on this too, but this is definitely a case where more is more. Speaking of more-- I need more pictures for this newsletter or it just not interesting. If you send them, we'll feature them.
Finally, if you know any parents of older teenagers or young adults still in school, please share our 9/30 (Friday night) free bowling & pizza event dets with them. It's really important that the DD system does a better job helping individuals and their families successfully transition from high school to the adult world. The systems are very, very different and the sooner parents can start planning based on a clear understanding of the resources available to them, the better. This will be a fun & easy event. We'll have volunteers to bowl & engage the kids while the parents meet. I'm pretty sure that we'll have representatives from both HCBDD & ECBDD SSA Departments.
