Thanksgiving Week

November 20th, 2023

Thanks to the extra generous donations lately, we had more spaghetti noodles than we could use in our Friday Good Works Cafe last week & were able to share with the Salvation Army!

John's usual--

CLI owes a big THANK YOU to the St. Paul's High School Basketball Team who volunteered their time to help James Johnson clear out the east end of the workshop as required by CLI's new rental agreement with the Huron County Commissioners. The boys helped move things we were keeping & filled the dumpster that they are sitting on in the picture.

Please remember that CLI's regular day programs will be closed this week on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday this week for Thanksgiving.

We'll be sending out a voice & email one-call message reminding everyone of the days that CLI will be closed this week. If you don't get a message this week-- make sure to let either Holly Binkley or me know so that we can make sure that your contact info is correct.

It's not just people that can be food insecure. CLI volunteers regularly re-bag cat & dog food into smaller servings to be passed out at the Huron County Non-Food Bank

CLI's Good Works Cafe offers a

free community lunch every Friday afternoon at the Norwalk Reservoir Clubhouse

Thanks to the generous donations

(money & food), CLI is able to take care of our neighbors and also get some real life restaurant and customer service

job training.

Q: What days is CLI closed for the Thanksgiving holiday?

A: CLI is closed on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday of Thanksgiving week. We still provide regular transportation for our clients scheduled to work next week.
