John's usual--
I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I know that I really appreciated the time off and visiting with family. Both my kids were home at the same time, which almost never happens, so it was really a nice time.
Kenilee Lanes is in full swing now, with Saturday open bowling, all the leagues active, and quite a few private parties. We really enjoyed the really big thank you card from League Street Elementary recently. It was a fun, polite bunch of kids. Remember that any CLI or Firelands Local employee qualifies for discounts on bowling, beer & soda.
If you've been in the workshop lately, you know that there is a lot going on in that building right now. The Seneca-Crawford-Huron Counties Regional Transportation Service is setting up their new offices in the former CLI workshop office. The Huron County Commissioners are making some long-overdue repairs/investments, and CLI is really trying to reduce our footprint to just the shop floor & the ADS depot classroom. We've sold quite a few items on Facebook Marketplace & donated lots to Goodwill, but there is still more to go. Specifically, we have 2 twin daybeds made by Sommer's Woodcraft from birch plywood on casters. The mattresses are clean and the beds have only been used for lounging. I really hate to throw them away, but Goodwill doesn't want them. If you know anyone who can use them, please let me know.
A one-call went out last Tuesday evening. Please let us know if you did NOT get a call so that we can make sure that you're included on the distribution list.
That's all I have for now. As of Monday, there are only 28 days until Christmas! 2023 went by very quickly for me. Have a great week.
John
