John's usual--
This is Olivia Ramsey's last week with CLI. She started with us in the fall of 2020 and we've been lucky to have her for the past 3 years. Olivia was dependable & creative. We'll miss her, although I'm sure that we'll still see lots of her in the future. But after this week she no longer has to listen to me or pretend that I'm funny.
There was a typo in the last 2 newsletters. CLI's regular day programs are closed for the holidays starting on Saturday 12/23/23 and returning on Wednesday 1/3/24. Sorry for the error. I know that it caused a bit of confusion.
There is quite a bit of COVID going around right now. CLI's had a number of staff out sick and I know that there have been quite a number of our clientele who out too. In this week's question, we detail our policy specifically for COVID. The long & short is that we follow the CDC recommendations, which means that if you have COVID or live with someone that does-- we're going to make you wear a mask for a little while if you want to participate in CLI activities-- or stay home for a pretty long time. We'd rather have everyone with us, but we know that many people can't tolerate a mask and/or just don't want to wear it.
A big thank you to Ron Ross-- who celebrates his first year with CLI this month. The van that Ron was driving last Wednesday got a flat with a really big screw in the tire. Like many new cars, the Siennas don't have spares or jacks as OEM equipment, but that didn't stop Ron. He was able to get the tire off, take it to his house & plug it! I appreciate those mad derby skills. Thanks for being both our driver & pit crew this week Ron.
I hope you all have a great final week leading up to Christmas and to the time off. Stay safe. We look forward to seeing you all in 2024!
