We were able to get out on the water briefly between storms, but it's been a bit of a Murphy's Law in terms of weather this sailing season. We're grateful for the crew at Sandusky Junior Sailors Adaptive Sailing Program for including us!

The Usual--

I apologize - there was a SNAFU last week and the newsletters did not go out as scheduled. It was a hectic week. This week's newsletter features pictures from the last 2 weeks.

I (still) need help selling these tickets!!!

100% of what we raise for the next year will go toward making Kenilee Lanes Bowling Center fully wheelchair accessible for our clients and the public at large. We're pretty excited about this project because we think people will be really wowed by the finished design. However, it's a big lift! Our target construction date is May, 2026. This means we have 11 more months to raise $195K.

We're still not out of the woods on whether we'll keep the current levels of funding for Ohio's DD system. However, Ohio's entire system is propped up by Medicaid funding, which is federal. I heard a statehouse aide once say that people would be shocked at how few actual phone calls our representatives and senators get-- and how big of an impact those phone calls can have. Medicaid support for DD services in Ohio needs everyone' continued advocacy-- not just during budget talks, but anytime you see/hear something you like or something that worries you. If you are in a letter/email writing mood-- or just really love phone calls, our US politicians are:
