John's usual--
If anyone is free around 11am this Thursday, our friend Bob & his Band, will be performing at the Huron County Board of DD offices at 11am on 12/15. I know that he'd love to have a good turnout.
We've had some questions about whether CLI will be hosting a Christmas dinner next week and if so, whether former CLI clients could attend with another agency. We're still working out the details, but we're leaning toward trying to pull something off next Friday, December 23rd. If we are able to do this, we'd love to see folks. However, CLI can't provide services to people without being your provider. So, if someone did want to come join us, you'd need to bring your staff with you. But, we're definitely fine with that. We'll sort it out this week and if we're going to host a dinner, we'll post the details in next week's newsletter-- and put out a one-call-- and share the information with the SSA Department so that they can let former clients know that they are welcome to join us.
I learned from the Ohio Provider Resources Association (OPRA) last week that the Ohio Legislature has been busy debating on the official state cookie. I thought that this was pretty funny. Word on the street is that the sugar cookie has the inside track. I like a good sugar cookie, especially with milk. But, I tend to agree with Gary Gulman that pretty much every cookie is a sugar cookie.
I know that I say this every week, but there really does seem to be a lot of illnesses going around right now-- some pretty bad respiratory ones in addition to new COVID. I appreciate that people have been complying with our rules to wear masks in the vans. However, I've been seeing some pretty grubby-looking masks. Let's try to use fresh one every day, otherwise, we're just blowing old germs all over a crowded van.
That's all I have. Less than 2 weeks until Christmas!
