Week of December 16th 2024!

Luckily the snow day last Thursday cleared up in time for an evening trip to see the lights and exhibits at the Toledo Zoo!

The Usual--

It's the last full week until the Christmas & New Year's break! CLI staff are doing all they can to make sure that we finish strong. Just a reminder that the holiday party will be at the workshop at 11 (ish) this Friday. Looks like cold rain most of this week with a slight drop in temperatures towards Friday. Fingers crossed that we make it to the weekend without Ohio's wintery mix!

Thanks again to the Huron County Board of DD for sponsoring the grant that has allowed us to do so many fun special activities this fall that we wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise.

Enjoy your time away over the next week and a half +! Monday League Bowlers (you know who you are)-- don't forget that there will be the regular league bowling on Monday, December 30th. You should have gotten a note with your pick up & drop off times. People who are working community jobs over CLI's regular holiday break, community employment transportation will be running like normal. Let Kristi Green know asap if there are any last minute changes to your work schedule next week.

For everyone else, we're looking forward to seeing you in 2025!

What's new in Thrive?

Last week and this week we are doing mock interviews with Haven, John, and Holly. 

The clients are pretty nervous but trying hard! They are remembering to shake hands, provide their resumes, and maintain professionalism throughout the interview. 

We will continue to work on expanding their responses when answering questions. 

I had a chance to go to the basketball game this week.  It truly was a nailbiter!!!

CLI's Good Works Cafe offers a free community lunch every Friday afternoon at the Norwalk Reservoir,

staffed entirely by volunteers with DD made from food donated by OHgo and other

community partners!

Q: What days is CLI closed for the Christmas-New Year holiday this year?

A: CLI's last day for regular programs in 2024 will be Friday, December 20th-- then we reopen for regular programs again on Thursday, January 2nd.
