John's usual--
We've really been enjoying participating is the Senior Enrichment Leagues, like Dartball & Cornhole. Now they even are putting on a Wii Bowling league. The picture at right is the team sponsored by CLI & Kenilee Lanes. Word is that competition is fierce.
We put out a one-call last Thursday evening to remind people about the Norwalk Jaycee's Christmas Spectacular. This went out as a voice call, a text, and an email. If you did not get this CLI notification in the manner in which you want future notifications, please let me know. As we head into winter weather, there is a good chance of delays or even a closing. We'll send word of this out by one-call.
CLI held another pizza & bowling party for high school kids who have an IEP last Friday night. We'll be hosting another one in March. The kids have a great time & it's a good opportunity for parents to learn about the resources that will be available to their son or daughter after they graduate. The planning for graduation should begin at least 3 years ahead of time and focus on work, social and long-term residential goals. In my experience, families are not prepared and a inadequate transition can be a really bad, lasting experience for young adults with disabilities. I appreciate HCBDD's Cindy Penza being at Kenilee Lanes on Friday night for this.

Have a good week. Hard to believe that it's only 20 days until Christmas! Keep those hands clean. Nobody wants to be sick for Christmas. There's a lot going around right now.
