We only had two Xmas in July-themed pics from last week (see below for the guys in an artsy flow state at AOS). I was a little surprised. I figured we'd be beating the red & green out of this newsletter with a stick! All in all it was a good week. The temperatures weren't crazy so we didn't have to make too many changes to our regularly scheduled activities. Obviously, there's still more hot weather ahead of us. We'll keep an eye on it. It's definitely a good idea to have a water bottle with you.

For those of you who patronize CLI's Good Works Cafe every Friday, we've had to make a change to no longer allow phone in pre-orders. We just don't have the infrastructure to accommodate this. CLI will continue to offer free Friday lunches (donations are super welcome & will be invested back into this program)-- but from now on it will be first-come, first served until the food runs out.

It's August on Tuesday. Summer is flying by. Kenilee Lanes will start form bowling leagues soon. Leagues are a good time & Kenilee Lanes offers a big sponsorship to any Firelands Local LLC or CLI employee that wants to participate in a league. It's a good time. If you'd like to participate this coming season, let us know. CLI is available to assist our clients with transportation and whatever other assistance they they need to participate.

Announcing CLI's newest service exclusively offered to people who are community employed--

 because there's more to life than the daily grind!

We believe that lifetime learning and playing shouldn't stop after high school or after you get your

first "real" job! CLI wants to help you continue to grow and/or to enjoy the fruits of your labor!

CLI's Good Works Cafe offers a free community lunch every Friday afternoon at the Norwalk Reservoir Clubhouse.

Thanks to the generous donations (money & food), CLI is able to take care of our neighbors and also get some real life restaurant and customer service job training.

Due to the increased need in our community,

we will no longer take pre-orders for the free lunches.

We are open from 11:30 until meals run out. The limit per person will be 6 so we can better serve those in need. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Question of the week

Q: If I know somebody who's interested in working for CLI, how do they apply?

A: It's a very easy process. There is an online application on the website (CLIsupports.com)-- but they can also just directly contact John, Jen, or Holly directly. We interview all applicants. We are choosy though. We're not worried about exact experience in the DD field, but integrity, work ethic, and a healthy amount independent common sense are absolute must haves!

We love when potential candidates apply by email and tell us why they are interested and what they think they want to do (and maybe why they think they can do it). If you know of anyone interested, the email address for them to apply is:
