Week of March 20th, 2023

Congratulations to the Team Dolls & Balls for winning the Wednesday Women's Kenilee 2022-2023 League this year!

CLI supported a bowlers on the NOMS Acccess Orthopedics team and the Fair Publishing Team (which took 6th & 7th respectively). Win or lose, it was a really fun season with great people. We're looking forward to next year! FYI-- we'll pay your weekly lineage fees if you provide round-trip rides to a CLI-supported bowler, so keep that in mind for next year!

This coming week the highlights from the National Day Calendar site (nationaldaycalendar.com) are:

  • Monday-- Flour, Proposals, Native HIV Awareness & Ravioli
  • Tuesday-- Down Syndrome, Memory, 3-D, AG, French Bread, French Bread, California Strawberries, Fragrance, Single Parent & Common Courtesy
  • Wednesday-- West Virginia, Bavarian Crepes, & Goof Off
  • Thursday-- Tamale, Chia, Melba Toast, Near Miss, Chip Dip & Puppies
  • Friday-- Cocktails, Cheesesteak & Chocolate Covered Raisins
  • Saturday-- Medal of Honor, Tolkien & Lobster Newburg
  • Sunday-- Epilepsy Awareness, Nougat & Spinach

Tammy & crew got outside a little bit between the rain last week.

The "craft to coin" class is taking a break from furniture refinishing to make custom mugs.

John's usual--

Well, it's finally spring, although obviously March can go either way. We'll be looking to push back outside more as the weather gets nicer, so if there's something that you want to do and were just waiting for winter to end-- let us know!

CLI is losing two staff this week, although we hope to welcome them both back sooner than later-- Jimmy & Courtney. I am very grateful to each of them for all that they've done to support CLI and our clients over the years!

Kenilee Lanes' bowling league season is wrapping up for the season. We'll be looking for more bowlers next fall-- especially people that are willing to provide a ride to another bowler. For anyone who provides round-trip transportation to a CLI bowler, Kenilee Lanes will pay your weekly league fees. It's a good deal and a fun time.

Have a great week!

John

Hopefully everyone got a chance to tell Jimmy goodbye & best of luck at Cedar Point for another season. We won't see this guy again until September!

Cardio Drumming can be pretty fun & sometimes just a little too cathartic . . .

Just a few St. Patty's Day pics-- including a themed scavenger hunt at the shop.

Because apparently everybody's a bit Irish on March 17th . . .

Firelands Local LLC

We're working without Roxanne for the next few weeks. This was week one on our own . . .

Our annual Big Free Community Shred day is in March!

This year it will be on Friday March 31st from 10-5.

The first 500 pounds are free!

This is for drop off only and only on that day.

CLI is still running our virtual Bingo--

We're doing it on Thursday afternoons and it is open to anyone, whether at home or another day service provider location. It's a lot of fun and a good way to connect with people that you might not otherwise get to see.

Click here to have the Bingo link emailed to you!

CLI's Good Works Cafe offers a free community lunch every Friday afternoon at the Norwalk Reservoir Clubhouse.

Thanks to the generous donations (money & food), CLI is able to take care of our neighbors and also get some real life restaurant and customer service job training.

If you'd like to learn more or would like to donate to this cause--

please contact Rhonda White by phone at 419-706-5136 or by email at Rhonda@CLIsupports.com

Question of the week

Q: How do people participate in the Free Shred Day?

A Just show up. It's 500 pounds destroyed per person. Got more than 500 pounds? Give some to a friend and bring 'em along!
