John's usual--

The 2021-2022 Kenilee Lanes Bowling League season is off & running! Interest has been strong and we actually have more teams this year than we did in 2019. This is good as CLI counts on the extra income that this business generates during the winter months. Fundraising for the spring plans to make Kenilee 100% wheelchair accessible is going pretty well. We've raised more than $30,000 so far. The total project-- including facade work is estimated at around $125,000-- so we still have a ways to go. The goal is to be ready to start demo in late April after leagues end.

CLI is tweaking our transportation just a little bit this month to try to gain a little efficiency. Please bear with us as we shuffle. As soon as we've sorted out our transportation scheduled, we want to run a test run of a few different one-calls related to bad weather. Now that the majority of CLI's services are so customized, it's not a matter of just delaying routes for everyone. Scheduled activities vary too much from one person to the next. Still, we're leery of making it too complicated either. As in previous years, CLI will error on the side of safety in terms of cancelling if we think that the roads are unsafe. We know that's a hassle, but it's nothing compared to the hassle of running off the road, where the best-case scenario might be just being super cold for a few hours.

The next Market in the Park is this Tuesday. If you make it, stop by the back door at 38 West Seminary & say hi.

Have a good week. Keep yourself and others safe!

Another great week of weather this late in the year.

Our drop off day on 10/6 was another good day. We had 38 people come out and drop off just over 3,800 pounds of paper to be destroyed.

Production was down last week due to some Covid related setbacks. Despite this, we still shredded 13,000 pounds of paper. We baled 3,000 pounds of cardboard and completed 15,600 units.

This creates an opportunity to remind everyone that we still need to pay attention to Covid.
I am just as tired of all the protocols as the next person. Unfortunately this is not the time to become lazy about protecting ourselves.
