CLI's first cornhole tournament was a good time last Friday. A few less teams than typical, which meant less prize money, but it also made it a more intimate, casual vibe. We've been clued in to a cornhole posting board app for next month, so the cash payout on Friday, August 24th should be at least twice the $120 that last week's winners walked away with.
Summer is flying by! Not only is it Christmas in July this week, but it's also the 33rd anniversary of the ADA on Wednesday, July 26th! This was milestone legislation for all people with disabilities. It's easy to forget how much of a game changer the ADA was-- not to mention all the progress that came from it as precedent.
Speaking of legislation, if you are willing to write a thank you note to the politicians and/or public officials who advocated for the increase in the DD service reimbursement rates-- here are some key names & addresses:
