-- Franklin D. Roosevelt
Just a few more season's-end bowling shots of the CLI Thursday Morning Women's Bowling Team. CLI & Firelands sponsored teams in 3 different leagues this year and every team in every league had a great time. The other teams were super welcoming and really missed us when we had to bowl out separately for a few weeks when the COVID infection rates were high. Congratulations!
Our Man (off) the street is back! Glad to see you again Jeremy! We'll be really glad when we can do these interviews in person!
Anyone else grow up with Sesame Street and/or The Muppet Show?

NPR's "Pop Culture Happy Hour" did a listener survey and came up with this top 25 list. You can find the transcript of the show here:

Spoiler-alert!
Usual Excuses & Apologies:
I loved Sesame Street. I was born in 1967 and kids' TV was just becoming a thing. My family really didn't do television much, but if I got to watch anything it was Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, or Captain Kangaroo. My favorite muppets were Kermit, Grover, and Guy Smiley-- but I loved almost all of them (except Big Bird). I enjoyed listening to the NPR feature and then watching a few of the youtube videos.

Other than crushing on the muppets, I only have 2 things this week. First, it's good to have Jeremy back. We hope to add a few more interviews to his plate (a paying gig BTW) soon. I know that I'm excited for him to interview Andy Swaisgood, just hired by the Clearwater COG as a "Customer Care Coordinator". I believe that Andy's role will be part advocacy & part 1-stop-answer-guy.
My second point is to give full production credits for Jeremy's video editing-- and pretty much everything visually cool that CLI puts out-- to Rocio Gonzales. She's very talented and we're lucky to have her on our team.

If any CLI client captures fun (and PG rated) video footage that they'd like to share in one of these newsletters, Rocio can turn it into a finished product. She makes it look easy. Just keep it in mind. More diverse content make for a more interesting product.

That's all I have. Get outside this week (but then wash your hands).

"The tragedy of life is often not in our failure, but rather in our complacency; not in our doing too much, but rather in our doing too little; not in our living above our ability, but rather in our living below our capacities."

-- Benjamin E. Mays
Would you like to join CLI for some fun virtual activities?
It's a bunch of loud fun!
Firelands Local LLC Update:
James Johnson

It is hard to believe that we had 3 inches of snow on the ground last week. I am sure most of us were not happy to see it. These are the times we need to stop and look at the beauty that this snow can create. That is what these pictures are for.

Most of you are aware of the planned separation between FL and CLI. FL has its own advisory board which consists of 4 members currently. We want to increase the number of members on this board. It is a great time to be a part of the transformation and growth of Firelands Local. There is a recruiting brochure attached. If you or someone you know is interested in being part of our board, please reach out to me.

We will be having our next drop off event on Wed. 5/5 from 9 – 2. The proceeds and donations from this event will again be donated to the McGuan park renovations. We would love to see you then.

Production:
Last week we completed 55,000 units. We also shredded 11,000 pounds of paper and collected 6,000 pounds of cardboard.

It looks like the weather will be nice again this week. As a reminder, once it gets nice again, people and children will be outside playing more. Please pay attention when driving and always remember: Safety First!
"Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old."

-- Franz Kafka
