John's Usual Excuses & Apologies-

Well, here' hoping for better weather this week! I like snow, but I'm really ready for spring this year-- although as a dog owner, I really do appreciate how easy it is to let my dog in an out without worrying about muddy paws. I think we're all feeling pretty tired of being stuck inside. I know that I've been struggling staying motivated to do things this winter.

CLI will be helping some folks get their 2nd dose this Thursday (you know who you are). Getting this 2nd shot on time is actually pretty important, so if something comes up and you aren't with CLI on Thursday-- either get it done as scheduled on your own OR let us know if we need to help you make other arrangement to make it up within the acceptable window.

Thanks to Tabitha & Julie for taking the initiative to put together the videos showcasing the efforts of 2 groups of our "Vibrant Volunteers." Using Ohio's new STEPs funding, CLI assigned staff to support these individuals in their volunteer work with OHgo and the Good Works Cafe.
Do you want to help others in your community? There are lots of other opportunities to give back other than food. Just let us know what your passion is!

This is the last week to submit your videos for Ohio's CommUNITY Project (more information in the box below the CLI videos & STEPs brochures).

Remember CLI is offering a $75 Target gift card for each video. CLI staff are here to help you pull it together.

The Ohio Association of County Boards of DD is sponsoring a commUNITY film fest. The deadline for submissions is March 12. The link above will take you to their home page where you can find full contest details. Edited videos need to be between 2-5 minutes long. CLI is looking to support CLI clients who want to submit a video. If you have someone at home who will help you edit your video, we'll even make it worth your crew's while by giving you a $75 Target gift card that you can use to compensate them for their help.

This video was made by our friends at Riverview Industries in Oak Harbor and Assured Health in Toledo. It's an infomercial about the COVID vaccine, but it's also a good example of people having fun making one-- and it's useful!

We wrote about Artist' Open Studio last week-- here are Shea & Deanna working on their latest ceramics pieces.

Have a good week.

Please stay warm. Wash your hands. Also remember to dry them very well in this cold weather.

If you or a friend want a delicious meal but cannot get transportation, we can deliver to you for a $20 donation!

*Donations are accepted & 100% go to future Fridays.*
