Thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday for the 2023 Birds & Brunch Escape! We enjoyed a beautiful, bird filled morning at the Cate Family Farm, a conserved CLT property! 

We were able to see a number of gorgeous birds including a red tailed hawk, a downy woodpecker, the fast trill of a pine warbler, a couple of mallards and more!

Registration for our 2023 Game and Garden Soiree is fast approaching, opening in less than a month on March 14th, 2023. Be sure to mark your calendars because this event sold out in 2022!

This signature event is our largest fundraising event of the year and helps support our mission to protect the land, water and way of life in central South Carolina. This highly anticipated first-of-spring gathering features some of the region's most renowned chefs cooking delicious bites created with local game and garden ingredients and attracted a sold out crowd last year with 300+ guests.

Did you know that CLT has over 200 conservation easements spread across 14 counties that require annual monitoring. The annual monitoring visits ensure that the terms of the easements are being upheld. Our Stewardship Corps volunteers are a vital part of CLT’s monitoring success, and we couldn't do it without them!

Learn & Burn w/ Nature as Teacher:

Land Stewardship Coordinator, Mark Lowery, joined Nature as Teacher for their first ever Learn and Burn program earlier this month! This event aimed to educate land owners on safely implementing prescribed fire practices on their property.

Mark discussed with attendees the benefits of placing easements on their land and how easements can positively impact the environment.

CLT is so grateful to have conservation partners, like Nature as Teacher, who make conservation and land management education so accessible to our community!
