Throughout the United States and all over the world, tragic events have brought the issue of racial injustice and inequality to the forefront.
Inclusion and diversity are priorities of the Central Maryland Chamber, but in these trying times, the staff and board of directors of the Chamber recognize that we as a nation need to do better. We stand united against racial injustice and inequality and would like to share how we are taking action.
The US Chamber of Commerce announced a National Initiative on Inequality of Opportunity, and the Central Maryland Chamber will be joining the US Chamber, the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and Chambers from around the country on this initiative.
On June 25, we will join the US Chamber national townhall to discuss what we can do to address systemic racism through employment, education and entrepreneurship. This joint effort is a first step in creating change.
As leaders in business and in our communities, we recognize we are role models and we believe that the diversity of our membership, leadership and community make us stronger. We commit to continuing to look for ways to grow and to be more inclusive as an organization.

SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loans and Advance Program Reopened
|
|
“The SBA is strongly committed to working around the clock, providing dedicated emergency assistance to the small businesses and non-profits that are facing economic disruption due to the COVID-19 impact. With the reopening of the EIDL assistance and EIDL Advance application portal to all new applicants, additional small businesses and non-profits will be able to receive these long-term, low interest loans and emergency grants – reducing the economic impacts for their businesses, employees and communities they support,” said SBA Administrator Jovita Carranza. “Since EIDL assistance due to the pandemic first became available to small businesses located in every state and territory, SBA has worked to provide the greatest amount of emergency economic relief possible. To meet the unprecedented need, the SBA has made numerous improvements to the application and loan closing process, including deploying new technology and automated tools.”

I've been a promotional products distributor in Columbia, Maryland for over 13 years now. This means I have access to over one million products and work with thousand of suppliers, which enables me to procure significantly large orders. I also own my own equipment which enables me to produce smaller quantities with faster turnaround times. In addition, having my own machinery also allows me to imprint samples of items that a potential customer may be interested in. My customers also receive impeccable service, and are informed by phone or e-mail of the status of their order from Purchase Order to Final Delivery.
