How to Start Marketing Yourself on LinkedIn Today
September 23rd | 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
As most business owners continue to work from home, LinkedIn has become one of the most useful and accessible ways to market your business. Join Michele Correnti, Owner of Correnti Marketing + Events, as she guides you on the best ways to start marketing yourself and your business on LinkedIn. Topics to be covered will include:

  • Optimizing your LinkedIn profile
  • Defining your brand to stand out from your competition
  • When + what to post
  • Tips to become a thought leader
  • Helpful digital marketing tools that you should know about
Michele Correnti guides professional service firms that want to market but do not know where to start. She begins by building her client’s brand foundation and ensuring their brand looks professional, consistent, and conveys the right messaging online, across their website and all social platforms. Then, she develops and implements their individualized marketing strategy. This means everything from posting on social media, writing blogs, creating email campaigns, hosting webinars, and in-person events—when it’s safe to do so. Michele helps her clients stand out from the competition by focusing on the "why" behind their business.

CMC Participates in
Shop Safe. Shop Local. Shop ArundelBiz
Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC) launched its “Shop Safe. Shop Local. Shop ArundelBiz.” marketing campaign to highlight the importance of patronizing small businesses in Anne Arundel County.

“Many locally owned shops, restaurants, services and organizations have pivoted their operations to help keep their customers and employees safe,” said AAEDC CEO Ben Birge. “We hope customers can appreciate their significant investments in these new tools and procedures and support our small businesses. Remember when we buy local, we support jobs in our county and ensure that our tax dollars stay here too.”

A key message of the campaign is that customers have a role to play in keeping businesses open. By wearing masks, practicing social distancing and being disciplined about hand washing hygiene, the public can help control the coronavirus’ spread and keep themselves and those around them healthy.
CMC becomes mask distributor for Anne Arundel County Businesses

The Central Maryland Chamber is committed to ensuring safe interaction with the public and also have staff who continue to telework. Please contact to schedule a pick up time.

Purchasing Cooperative
*Registration Ends Soon- Do Not Miss BIG Savings!*
Have you looked at your utility bill lately? Are you concerned about how much you are spending?
COVID19, the Presidential election, economic forecasts and erratic weather conditions are making the energy market volatile. If you would like to reduce your costs and stabilize your utility rates join the Chamber Energy Purchasing Cooperative.
The Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Nationally Recognized Energy Management experts, CQI Associates, to administer and manage the Chamber Energy Purchasing Cooperative. Competitive rates are obtained by leveraging aggregated usage from members of 23 Chambers of Commerce. The increased purchasing power allows members to receive lower rates than they could typically attain on their own.

Since 2004, the Cooperative electricity rates have been lower than both market rates and the weighted annual utility standard offer service rates. During our recent fall campaign participants saw a combined savings of $889,600. Which equated to members saving an average of $4,000 annually. Natural gas rates have also been lowered on average than market rates and utility monthly winter peak indexed rates.

TAKE ACTION REGISTER NOW in the current campaign which runs from August 31, 2020 to September 25, 2020.

  1. Complete and sign the Letter of Authorization below.
  2. Provide one complete copy of your most recent Utility bill(s) for all electricity and or natural gas accounts you are enrolling.
  3. Scan and email copies of the above documents to Joe Tabeling at or fax to 410-630-5911
