Cultivating Excellence!

Appreciate - Inspire - Support - Guide

To all members of our CMEA community:

As we come to the end of another school year, I would like to take a few moments to say thank you for all of the work that our music educators did this past school year to bring valuable music education to your students. For those of you who are retiring, CMEA sends a huge thank you for all of your years of service to music education. The last thank you is extended to our CMEA Executive Board, Board of Directors, State Assembly, our Ex-Officio Chairs, and the CMEA staff. Your time with CMEA makes such a great difference in music education in our state.

Now, it's time for each of you to step back, reflect, and recharge. Embrace every special moment that summer offers and take this opportunity to rejuvenate for the year ahead. Your well-being is as important to us as your work.

During the summer, the CMEA staff, Board of Directors, and State Assembly will be working tirelessly on your behalf to bring you another exceptional conference in January of 2025 and to uphold the tradition of extraordinary All-State events for our students. The 'Early Bird Registration' for the conference is scheduled to open on August 1. Keep an eye on your email boxes in late July and August for crucial deadline information regarding the All-State Ensembles and the 2025 Conference. CMEA’s regular communications will resume on September 1, 2024.

Have a wonderful, relaxing, and fulfilling summer!!

William M. Kohut,
